Greetings from the Hiveship of TW!

Greetings gang. It's been quite a while since i've stopped in... Real life has been so busy lately... >.<

I'm actually not new, but i've been hiding in donutland eating my donuts in peace. 

Let's see... where to start...

Having moved to a different hiveship so to speak, i now live near philadelphia Pa, with mom and dad (still... but i'm working on a plan with friends to get our own place). In fact, i just moved here about a week and half ago.

Since the home business doesn't provide health benefits, i've decided to pursue a part time job that does. The home business is holding it's own, though it's performing a little under expectations. But the extra income provided helps. I partly blame myself for that issue cuz i stink at anything that resembles marketing or selling.

I've also gotten into a great new hobby that consumes quite a bit of my time and money: cosplay. Some of you may not be familiar with it, but let's just say in a nutshell, cosplay is dressing up as a favorite video game or anime (japanese cartoons essentially) character and acting that character. Otherwise known as acting to the layman or woman if that's how you want to look at it. I now manage a growing group of friends in the philadelphia area who share the same interest. We call ourselves the Philly Otaku. So a lot of my time has been devoted to the group and real life. We've gone on several convention trips, and countless group forays into and around philadelphia.

My stargate interests, though waning, have seemed to picked up again. Now that Continuum is available on DVD,  i'll pick that up. I also need to catch up and get my season sets for SG-1 and Atlantis to get caught up on those too. As for Stargate conventioning, i'm sad to say that i think those days are over. Unless Creation can quit charging $360 for con tickets and then charging for tickets for everything else under the sun, i can't spare $500 a pop for a con, and that doesn't include hotels or transportation. But i'd love to pop out to a meetup or maybe if i can put together some money for a local con (i.e. New Jersey or New York) then i might consider. (Then again, i've been out of the con spot;ight since last april, so i don't know what's up on the front lately).

Either way, i'll try to stay on top of stuff here, even though i fail miserably at doing that. :^|
